Summary of the light bearer

Hello, readers...
I'm now reading a novel called "The light bearers daughter", written by an Irish writer with incorporated Irish mythology.
The Light Bearer is an engaging novel about Auriane, a Germanic warrior and priestess during ancient Roman times. The Germanic tribes are trying to fight off the legions of the Roman empire, and Auriane is captured and forced into the gladiator arena, where she poses a threat to the emperor's power. Auriane also falls in love with the Roman politician Marcus Julianus, her enemy, and greatest ally.
This book is written in a very interesting format. One chapter would talk about the ancient priestess in terms of magic and wonder in third person limited, and the next consecutive chapter would be in third person omniscient, taking place in a low-class family made up of a single father and his strong daughter who doesn't want to leave to Canada where her father wants to move to work, and also where her father grew up.
That's it for today
