It has been a while- thank you very much, I had a great vacation.
In fact, recently, I have been re-reading short stories and classics, and suddenly a thought hit me. I have come to realize how truly important it is to read these classics on your own time. These classics are the bases for all the now day stories you are reading- Romeo and Juliet is a good example. Any plot with forbidden love is basically based off a Romeo and Juliet plot line. Classics as well teach you important lessons, whether it is to stand up for who you are, pursue your talents, never give up, and so on and so forth. In fact, these lessons can be infinite, because everybody understands and interprets each story differently and in their own way. Personally, I find that teaching or reading literature is extremely important.
It will make you more wise, it will help you connect in your reading comprehension, as well as become a better reader and analyzer.
Classics also throw you back to hundreds of years back, when there were no televisions and computers, and lets you have a first look at what life was truly like back then. Why say no when you can achieve so much?
Sorry for not posting, again, I was sleeping on the beach ;)
Keep reading!xoxo
