In Eragon, that is extremely easy, for he is a young man that always needs to be pushed in the right direction.
Read the synopsis, for instance:

I highlighted for you what I assumed was a pretty good overview of what I meant. Advice comes up in the books so many times, it's hard to describe all of them.
