The AHA Moment and it's example in Seraphina

Hey BR101s!
Today we are going to talk about the Aha moment.
This is another signpost like CC (contrasts and contradictions) that allow you to analyze and understand the text.
Lets start.
To me the Aha moment is when you in your mind go:
Now it all makes sense!!

The anchor question is actually,
“How might this change things?”

Here is a good example

This is the scene from Rapunzel when she realizes she’s the lost princess. It's a very girly movie, but you can even see the AHA moment in her face- this changes her through the story too, she becomes more bold and confident, realizing she’s been tricked all along.
This link to the clip from Rapunzel

The example in Seraphina: The AHA moment is actually when the main character Seraphina realizes she’s half dragon and that her teacher Orma (that’s a dragon) is her uncle, and her father married her dragon mother without knowing .How might this change things? Now she has to keep secrets that cost her life, and she knows three languages . Basically, now everything's a mess (just saying dragons keep human forms in this book)

“He was a dragon and my mother’s brother. I had not dared deduce what that made her, but he forced the conclusion upon me. I leaned over the side of the bed and vomited. “
Well, That's it for today.
Thanks for reading!
xoxo
