Hey BR101s,
Today I'll do a short and simple post.
Do not read this if you don't want to spoil the ending!

Okay.
So, as it says in the title, I am sharing what I thought was the most surprising moment in the story.
And I'm sure you thought the same.
It was when the main character, Eugene, first rejects the love of Tatiana, and they searches for it, in the end being rejected himself. I was surprised in the beginning at how Tatiana fell in love with such a terrible person,
and finally, I was a little surprised by Eugene's easy way of getting bored!
Such a rich and spoiled person, yet gets bored from such wonderful things.
As I said, a little short xD

  1. So guys, as a quick lesson for today, this is a great example of CC- contrasts and contradictions in the characters in the text. This is an example of a signpost, where you analyze, stop and think. Why did the character do this? In the example from the story, Eugene fell in love with a woman he hated- there is something different here. For one thing, he didn't want a family or to fall in love for real. He wanted to live life for his own enjoyment. It was odd. Then Natalia said no, when she loved him and cried over his rejection. I guess she now has a piece of mind as in realizing who is really worth her time. But sadly after this, he husband dies after a dual with Eugene. Romeo and Juliet plot, eh?
